Should I Interview with SI?
The question is, are you a professional in the Security field who others will find intriguing and who’s story will compel others to action or can you share best practices that allow a security executive to make better decisions.
On occasion we have manufacturing executives who normally have game changing technology and an Industry story of “How I got here” that may influence career minded individuals to look hard at the overall security market.
If you have a story, we want to hear it!
How does the “Interview” work?
Normally the interviewer has researched the Professional through a combined review of web site information, professional contacts and/or actual meetings prior to the interview. We normally start out with the professional’s background and move on to their story of “How I got here” and then move on to deeper security business motivations (what motivates you and why) and best practices in professionals chosen security field. We normally close with affiliations and why they chose those specific organizations as well as the question; what haven’t I asked that you would like to cover in this interview.
When it is possible we interview the the security professional utilizing HD video. We have interviewed over Skype using (if possible) HD USB cameras at each end of the connection. We recommend that the professional purchase a good upper end USB camera prior to this interview method. We have found that a well lit room with minimal background clutter works best.
By “Security Professionals” what do you mean?
Security Professionals are people who have made, Physical Security, Digital Security, Law Enforcement or a mix of all three their chosen profession. Most of the individuals we interview tend to be in or have been in executive roles. The reason for seeking interviews with seasoned professionals is the value and contribution shared in the interview with like-minded professionals, individuals starting their career and students thinking about a career in Security.
